I think you might really like the Deployment Wizard. You can find out more
at http://www.macromedia.com/software/jrun/download/ide/

Admittedly, I had a heck of a time finding it through the normal course of
Jrun pages I viewed. I finally recalled the title "deployment wizard" and
did a search to find it. If any MM people are listening, it wasn't listed at
these pages:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/jrun/ (
http://www.macromedia.com/support/jrun/
http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/
http://www.macromedia.com/support/jrun/javabeans.html
http://www.macromedia.com/software/jrun/download/

Nor did it come up in a search of the TechNotes for "deployment wizard". It
only came up in a search using the top-navbar search button.

Actually, I should clarify, after seeing that the URL in the wizard page
says "ide" (which isn't obvious since the wizard can run standalone), I see
now that a couple of those pages above do have links that say "Integrating
JRun Server with Leading Java IDEs", which lead to that page, but that link
phrase is clearly not about using the deployment wizard, so again it may be
hard for people to find even if they know what they're looking for.

Subject: deployment descriptors generating tool

Hi - Is there a utility from JRun that helps generating the deployment
descriptors for ejbs or do I have to manually create the ejb-jar.xml every
time? Or, is there a tool that can generate the descriptor file that JRun
takes?

thanks,

Fred Ha
