Thanks, Eric.

We have a custom application which does not use EJB's. The other is a
purchased package for GIS (ARC IMS) and I don't know if that uses EJBs or
not. I guess we'll find out because we'd really like to move to JRE/JDK 1.4
as soon as we can. As of today, we do have Jrun running with JRE 1.4 on an
MS2000/IIS 5 server. While we have much more testing to do, the custom
application does start up okay.

We have not seen any serious stability problems / bugs with JRun 3.x server
and JRE 1.4. There are some problems with running Ejipt in stand alone mode
and running the EJB deployment wizard -- basically it doesn't work because
of JRE 1.4 class loader changes. Other than those two issues I don't know
of any other problems. Customers running Ejipt in a standalone mode can
simply turn all of the additional non-Ejipt services they don't need in the
local.properties, start JRun as a server and everything will work fine. The
deployment wizard will work with JRE 1.3.1 fine.

My best advise is to test your application with JRE 1.4 and JRun 3.1. If
you think you have a problem post back to the list and I'll take a look at
what you have going on.

To clarify - we want to run JRun 3.x with Java 1.4 on an MS2000/IIS server.
Has anyone had success with this, or run into any problems?

Anyone have any feedback to offer on running JRun 3.x with Java 1.4 (out of
beta - released in February, I think)?

Thanks,
