Our command line is identical except that we use the -config option as
well.

I have to do this with ssh as the machine is in a remote data center. 

However, I just tried starting JRun over a telnet connection from
another server in that network.  The logout worked fine.  Do you know if
this is an ssh issue then, and whether there is a work-around?
