Hello Atsuhiko,

I tried this patch, but the problem persisted.

I also may have spoke too soon on using bouncy castle provider - I ran
into challenges using that with JDK 1.5.

I believe those challenges may just be getting bouncy castle to work
with JDK 1.5, because there seems to be a very particular order in
which the providers must be listed, but I am still researching that
issue.
