What do you mean "You can't do that" -- don't you have rsh or you try and
it doesn't succeed?
if you don't have rsh, try ssh without x-forwarding:
phys> xhost +virt
phys> ssh -x virt
virt> xterm -d phys:0
Note the "-x" argument to ssh which will disable ssh's built-in x-forwarding
