Hi everyone. I have a history of being well-intended and subscribing to lists like this, and then falling off the deep end not following conversations and getting overwhelmed with the sheer volume of email, and disappearing. But then, most people never know I was there in the first place because I lurk! Maybe this time around will be different.
My name is Ben Loveridge, a web developer in Utah working at Move Networks. I started doing JavaScript 3.5 years ago, with a period of 18 months doing Python / SQL / PHP in the middle, and now I am back to JavaScript. I consider myself an intermediate JavaScripter, and have decided it is time to advance my skills and prowess. Half of my Christmas consists of JavaScript books :) The most recent project I have started working on is a set-top box video playback application running on low-end hardware with limited CPU and memory, replacing a product that simply doesn't perform adequately. With the limited hardware capabilities, my focus is on writing something that is lightweight, executes quickly, and absolutely does not leak memory as it completely cripples the device. Wish me luck :) When not working, I occasionally contribute to some back-end tools used by the FireBreath cross-platform / -browser plugin framework, writing tools relating to Git, and contributing to such tools (like git-flow) which I find highly useful. I think John Resig is the man. And of course all the other obvious JS superstars :) My online presence is pretty limited: Blog: http://colonelpanic.net (contributor whenever I feel like jotting down something tech-related) Twitter: @terminon Thanks for the list, and hopefully I don't fall off the deep end this time! - Ben On Tue, Dec 14, 2010 at 8:18 AM, david vidal sanchez <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi everyone, my name is David.
