Hi, I'm Peter Galiba, 30y, from Hungary. Working for NowPublic.com and Examiner.com as a contractor. For the last 10 years, I've been playing with JavaScript, and from 2006 mostly with jQuery. I'm mostly a front-end developer working with HTML / CSS/ JavaScript, but lately have dug deep into Node.js. Have written some modules, and contributed to other modules. I also have some jQuery plugins in my GitHub repository ( https://github.com/Poetro ).
I blog in Hungarian at (http://poetro.hu/), writing about Drupal, jQuery, PHP and JavaScript in general. I also have some articles on Weblabor ( http://weblabor.hu/tagok/1519/kovetes ) writing about the same subjects, although these are also in Hungarian. I found Node really interesting, as it has all the great features of ECMAScript5 along with speed, and the nature of asynchronous I/O. I'd like to write a widget system, handling all the back-end tasks in Node.js while the front-end in vanilla JS or jQuery. I have written and participated in writing such systems with PHP / Drupal and jQuery, but that has some drawbacks on speed, memory usage, and clearness, as I find PHP dirty in a lot of ways. -- Poetro -- To view archived discussions from the original JSMentors Mailman list: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To search via a non-Google archive, visit here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected]
