Hi DJX and Fil, For final verification. So in order to use midi learn or Sonar's act, I am required to connect my Control Surface through an external midi device such as the M-audio midisport rather than connecting it via firewire? In addition, for Midi Learn or Sonar's ACT the Control Surface has to be in a mode where it can receive midi messages? Thanks for verifying.

If you right-click a slider, knob or button and you find a "midi learn" option, it should work. What you normally do is move the knob or slider you want to use, then hit the midi learn option. Sometimes it works backwards where you press midi learn and then move the slider or knob or press the button and it gets mapped. You'd have to check each plug's manual/help files to see what they have to say about it. Does most effect plug ins also support Midi Learn? I also would like to use the knob and faders to control Eq. Ratha From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of D!J!X! As long as you don't change the preset on your controller, or if you do always bring it back, that same slider or knob should work on your synth each time... Only thing is that not all synths support midi learn, but most do. It does work but, don't use ACT as find it fiddly to set-up. If so, will some one give some tip on setting it up to work with my Control Surface to control fx and soft synths. I've been reading up alot on my Control Surface reference manual, sonar help files, and even did quite a bit of researching with know luck. Please help if you can. Thank you. Ratha PS.. Main part of spending a lot of money on this is so that I can also control my fx and sof synths in adition to mixing and stuff.
