All kidding aside, it sounds like you want to be convinced that JSP is
worthwhile. As far as my own personal 'evidence', I started thinking about
JSP as an ASP 'clone' or 'work-alike' with the additional benefit of being
Java based rather than VB based. And having seen talented individuals make
some pretty darn good stuff out of ASP (and a few bucks as a
**side-effect**), I was satisfied that (if only from the simplified
perspective of 'JSP as a better ASP') JSP had value. It's no silver bullet
and it's certainly not perfect - nothing is. It's 'appropriate technology'
for many situations and replaces ASP for those not inclined toward Microsoft
but wanting the convenience of an ASP like tool. It has possibilities.
What more does it have to be to be deemed "great" in your view?
