I've now heard that what appears to have happened is that another product,
as yet unreleased product by Symantec, that would have been developed under
the new iTools spinoff company, is what has been dropped, and that this has
resulted in a few fewer people and reasons for in fact spinning off the
iTools group.
Visual Cafe is still alive and work on a new release continues.
