I have also had sufficient success with Apache supported software.  I look
forward to the release and future progress of the Jakarta project.

No, it is a high end app server and priced at around $10,000
per server.  If your project does not need all of the features
of a fully loaded App Server I would suggest Apache with
the Servlet module and GNUJSP as a free solution.  Right
now Sun and Apache are working on Jakarta which will
be an apache module that will support the latest JSP and
Servlets specs.  This is being positioned as a reference release
so I do not know how efficient it will be.
