One last question then... Storing in Sessions is a simple answer for passing
between pages. I presume you need to use a string and post it in when
sending say froma third party application??

context of the next version of the servlet specification. This work is
being done
under the Java Community Process, as JSR 53. You can go to
<http://java.sun.com/jcp> to get more information about this JSR.
In the mean time, the suggested workarounds are needed if you want your
solution to
be portable across servlet containers.
