Kevin,
all these things are actually on our todo list. Many people ask about a
single window mode, and this is planned as a feature for the version which
will come out in about 6-9 months from now. Better handling of projects is
the single biggest feature for this version, too.
I didn't see many requests for JSP component palette, but we think that it
would be very useful and users will like it at the end. So this is a feature
we plan to do as well.
