Hi Alan,
I am also looking for the same info you are searching for. If you find
anything I'd be grateful if you could pass the info along and I shall do the
same.
Thanks,
Phil

Subject: Field level Validation
Whilst field level validation that requires processing at the server is
viewed as incompatible for the internet. I wish to attempt it for use in
an intranet application.
i.e. when the user enters a registration code for a vehicle into a field
this is validated back at the server via a servlet.
I don't want to send the whole page and refresh it, I just want to get a
success or failed message.
Has anybody implemented such a method and could you provide any hints.
The only way I know of doing this is with javascript and a hidden frame
or it might work with ie's XML islands?
Any help gratefully recieved
Alan P
