I understand what you're saying, but, on the other hand, not all "real
life" deployments of JSP technology are as complex as you describe. For
example, I'm using it to build a (somewhat complex) administration system
for our (definitely complex) software. My users are enterprise IS people.
They won't need to deal with all the high powered stuff, like Tivoli or
MSMQ or whatever (at least for this application), but I think our web app
still counts as real life.

I'm not trying to make light of the issue of overall system configuration
and management. I agree that it is complex, and needs trained people. If I
didn't agree that it's a complex problem, I wouldn't even be doing what I'm
doing right now!
