No question is stupid if asked within the right context. I think the
original point, before the pissing contest began, was how appropriate
the question was for this list. Its not. This is the worst list for
off-topic posting and every one knows it. It's not that some of us
are "Know it alls" we just learned how to solve our problems. In order
to learn there must be some level of effort. This activity just goes
on way to long. And those who claim we are know it alls or sit in our
ivory towers are usually one of the offenders.
For the original poster with the SQL question, first buy a book, second
ask a DBA if available, and thirdly post on one of the forums located
at the following link. See not hard! BTW - in Oracle it would be
select table_name from user_catalog. This will give you everything
tables, views, sequences, etc.
