Forte for Java 3.0 will be available in two editions: The Community Edition is free of charge and offers many improvements over Forte for Java Community Edition 2.0: Support for servlet creation, execution and debugging, JSP debugging at the source level, monitoring HTTP requests and responses, development of custom tag libraries, visual editor of deployment descriptors, WAR packager, support for multiple servers and ready to use tag libraries. There are also many other areas of improvement, such as database support, XML support, and support for RMI, CORBA and JNDI. The for-sale Enterprise Edition supports creation and deployment of Enterprise JavaBeans, assembling J2EE .ear files, integration with the iPlanet Application Server and creation of Web Services.
