If you are using Netscape, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator ->
Applications -> Microsoft Excel Worksheet -> Choose Edit -> Remove Check
Box option from 'Ask me before opening downloaded items'.
IE will open Excel without asking.

Subject: How to directly open Excel document in the browser

Hi all,
When I am trying to open an excel document in the browser It is
popping
up "save as" dialog box. I don't want that dialog box to come. Instead
the
Excel file should be directly opened.
Any help Gurus,

Regards
Raghu
