In case you are not aware of it Oracle provides support.
They look up the problem in their database.
You may find that some body else had the same problem
or there is a patch released to resolve that particular bug.
I have Oracle 9i which doesn't necessarily mean that
I have enhancements, there are always bug fixes as well.
I once reported a fault with them and they said they will
fix it in three months then release it
while I had a deadline to meet.
There was a bug on another occasion
and they then turn round to me and said they don't support
Oracle on that particular hardware and Operating system.
I had to write a listener in C++ to get
round the problem because they refused
support on that particular hardware and operating system
even though they released the product.
I never the less had to find a solution.
I suggest you try Oracle because unless somebody
had the same problem it is a guessing game.
Regards,
Zahid
