    Thanks for your reply. but, if I give href to that document, it will open that 
document, right? My requirement is a bit different. I want to download multiple files 
on click of a button from server to client's local disc. The directory where the files 
are to be copied is hard coded. Is there any way to do this? if yes, how? Please reply
