I have an application that on occasion gets large objects (megabytes) from
the database. This leads to the occasional out of memory error. I also
suspect that I have some memory leakage so heap size also goes after a
period of time.

Is there any way from within a JSP page or servlet to measure the current
size and free space in the heap? At least this way I'll be forewarned and
can restart the application.

Thanks,

Clayton
