Is there a way I can test whether a point is within a certain
distance from a polygon considering the polygon as a line and not as
area? One workaround would be to have a geometry with a hole but
there may be a better approach.
If you want to calculate the distance to the polygon's outer ring, you
can retrieve that with Polygon#getExteriorRing()
Or maybe Polygon.getBoundary() to get also interior rings. It depends on
your use case.
