All,
JTS was originally released under the LGPL license, which at the time
seemed like a good way to make it freely available with minimal
restrictions. Over time it has become apparent that some potential JTS
users find the LGPL too restrictive. So, in order to encourage and allow
the widest possible use of JTS, we (Vivid Solutions) are considering
relicensing the library under a combination of the BSD and the EPL. We
expect to make this change in the next release, in Q4 2013.
