The bust is not over.

I haven't had a developer nibble since 2001. Of course, I am a 'C'
programmer looking to break into Java...

Any ideas on how to take my 18 years in development of embedded systems in
C/C++ and Assembler and get a Java job? I have had some training, but very
minimal experience.

Are peeps still looking for jobs? Or is the economy basically back? I seem
to be getting a lot of unsolicited phone calls which I've mostly discarded
lately...Should I be transcribing them or is the bust over?
