It is relatively easy to land on Java island if you are in the sea(C/C++). Maybe a Java certificate (SCJP, SCJD etc.) will do some help(some people say no in early discussion in this group), but keep Java programming is the key. I know
some guys build up web services on their own websites using Java (Servlet, JSP etc.) so that they have something to
show in resume to impress recruiters. Keep going, don't lose your heart.... Daniel Z.

I haven't had a developer nibble since 2001. Of course, I am a 'C'
programmer looking to break into Java...

Any ideas on how to take my 18 years in development of embedded systems in
C/C++ and Assembler and get a Java job? I have had some training, but very
minimal experience.
