Thank you very much for the recommendation. They must really know about PC stuff, since when I tried to access the site from my MacOSx laptop I get:

File or Page Not Found

As far as tracking the exact changes in the registry, I seem to remember that there is tool somewhere in windows itself or in the resource kit that does this. It's designed for making .reg files, used to patch the registry. Also, all the automatic installer tools (like "wise" and "installshield") have features like this.
