It depends on your view as to whether it is a problem. If the reply-to goes to the sender instead of the list then all of those people who mistakenly send to the list when they meant to send to the individual will be happy. However, all of those people who are expecting to reply and add to the public discussion on the list now have the potential to mistakenly send to the individual and add nothing to the public discussion.
Since posting to the list is meant for public consumption then the expectation is that the replies would be meant for public consumption. Private discussions spawned from the list are not the primary purpose of the list and therefore replies should go to the list.
After having said all of that, I am not sure if I really care whether the reply goes to the sender or the list. I will just check who I am sending it to before I send it.
