The page is just out of date. We support Excel 2003, but there may be a bug in something to do with the feature that you're using. If you post a bug report with a sample file, then I'm sure it will get fixed in a point release.
I test regularly on 97, 2000, XP and v.X. One of our guys tests I think on 2003, but I don't remember who off the top of my head at the moment.
