Doesn't that expire soon though? Personally I believe that's what's
driving a lotta this, but that's a whole 'nother thread (about which I
am woefully underinformed) (but when has _that_ ever stopped me :-)

for ... how 'bout a TriJUG pool? Not that we would be GAMBLING, of
course--that would be illegal !-)
But each of us could, e.g., state what we think will be the
{open/closed, forked}ness of Java in, say, [1, 2, 5] years. Then the
TriJUG president, whoever s/he may then be, will, upon the expiration
of each interval, judge who was most correct, and award the winner(s)
... the collective esteem of the TriJUG. (Though folks might have some
bets on the side :-)
