Hey guys,
http://jboss.org/services/training/schedule#raleigh-adv -- I just wanted to
sound a two weeks buzzer for early bird registration for anyone planning to
attend the JBoss Advanced Training that I'll be teaching probably with Bill
Burke.
Among the most important things we'll cover will be:
1. Packaging/dependencies with the Unified Classloader
2. JBoss architecture, JMX, etc
3. Deployers
4. Security including beyond J2EE security. You can find out how Marc was
wrong about the security proxy and see what cool stuff you can do with it to
enforce arbitrary security rules
5. Interceptors, you'll even write one
6. J2EE transactions
7. EJB tuning.
I'll be giving a much shorter version of this August 16th as a JUG talk.
I'll highlight some of the things that are the more frequent source of
questions on this list. Although the course is focused on JBoss, many of
the concepts and ideas are pretty universal. Dynamic proxies, interceptors,
classloaders, JMX and the likes should be every day fare for advanced java
developers.
I'd also like to sound the alarm for the TriXML conference. Over 130 people
attended last year. http://trixml.org/confindex.shtml. The deadline for
earlybird is also approaching. I'll be giving a talk on Web Services (isn't
that ironic) with JBoss.NET.
