Chapel Hill-Nelson Highway Research Triangle Park, North Carolina Abstract: *Introduction to JBoss Mail Server* JBoss Mail Server is a full featured J2EE/JBoss based POP/SMTP server with plans for IMAP, Calendaring and Exchange protocol support. The project seeks to both be a drop-in replacement for Exchange server as well as support mail-based applications. This presentation will include an overview of JBoss Mail Server, the current state of the project and describe the future of the project. *How to ditch all of your EJBs and just use POJOs* This discussion will focus on present technologies available to reduce the use of invasive APIs such as EJB and use presently-available technologies to produce enterprise applications with Plain Old Java Objects.
