I would like to draw some attention to the upcoming SIAM Conference on Computer Science and Engineering next year and wanted to ask around if there are plans or interest to have a mini symposium on advances in Julia. I remember that there were talks about Julia last time in Boston and would guess that the interest in the community grow considerably since then.
I would be willing to put together a proposal for a mini symposium. I would like to talk about our recent experiences in creating a package for large-scale inversions of geophysical data sets in Julia.
