We are probably going to be doing a featured minisymposium on Julia. That should cover 4 talks on Julia in that session, but we haven't thought about the format yet. I am thinking that we should be able to have one minisymposium that focusses on the language, and there is probably room for one or two other minisymposia that focus on applications.
Perhaps we can continue this discussion off the list, with anyone else who may be interested. -viral On Saturday, June 21, 2014 3:28:26 AM UTC+5:30, Lars Ruthotto wrote: > > Hi there! > > I would like to draw some attention to the upcoming SIAM Conference on > Computer Science and Engineering next year and wanted to ask around if > there are plans or interest to have a mini symposium on advances in Julia. > I remember that there were talks about Julia last time in Boston and would > guess that the interest in the community grow considerably since then. > > I would be willing to put together a proposal for a mini symposium.
