Yes, starting from scratch, your instructions look great!  If you `brew
install matplotlib` and don't like it however, running `brew rm matplotlib`
and then `pip install matplotlib` should work as well.  If `pip` says that
`matplotlib` is already installed, you can `pip uninstall matplotlib` to
clean it out.
