Just in case someone else bumps into a similar matter, the error related to 
a change in the way that "in" statements are represented by Julia 
expressions. In Julia 0.4.2 *:(i in 1:5) *results to  

*:($(Expr(:in, :i, :(1:5)))) *which is an expression of head *:in*, whereas 
in Julia 0.5 the same expression results to *:(i in 1:5) *which is an 
expression of type *:comparison*.
