Yes, that was me. Maybe you didn't read my email on the subject (it was down a

Actually, I added the functionality to use the real GetMap URL instead of just
the GetCapabilities-base URL of the WMS server. Since some WMS are misconfigured
to return the wrong URL in the capabilities document, I added the dialog to
enable users to use the old behaviour, if necessary.

To be more backward compatible, I just committed a change that re-enables the
old behaviour by default. You can use WMService#initialize(true) to enable
alerting the user, initialize() corresponds to initialize(false).

I opted against storing the previous choice since changing your mind later on
would not be possible (possibly preventing you from using the WMS in question at
all).
