Hi, I believe that PostGIS "Add datastore" layer is somehow dynamic and takes the bounding box into account when sending queries. Having Use cache box checked, as it was in my case, obviously makes JUMP to cache all or part of the previously fetched features. Martin Davis is perhaps the one who knows.
