Hi Frank, I cannot help much on the Eclipse environment side, but here are some hints to start developping with OpenJUMP :
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/jump-pilot/index.php?title=Developer_Documentation_and_HowTo Basically, if you only want to develop new plugins and don't need to modify OpenJUMP core code, you don't need svn. You just have to add OpenJUMP jar files in your classpath. If you don't find what you need in the wiki, come back on the list. What kind of plugin do you want to develop ?
