Hi edgar, Congratulations, I've been on this problem for hours, but had not done significative progress. There is also a font in windows installation called Gautami which seems to do the work : (though I can't check it's really telugu language) Curiously, Gautami file seems to be known by java (list as an available font) but not use until you put it in JRE_HOME/lib/fonts/fallback.
