Hi Stefan, Ede, 1 - First, many thanks to Ede for the time he spent to polish installers which will make OpenJUMP much more attractive for many users.
2 - Yes Stefan, we should post some announcement. Slashgeo is the only one coming to my mind. Also freegis.org has no entry for OpenJUMP (only an old link from jump to JPP). There may be some wikipedia articles to update too. Can I let you do the announcement on slashgeo. 3 - Version. 1.5.1 has been released. I think it is stable and OK for osgeo-live-dvd. For windows users, Ede made some important improvements, so it would be good to make a new release before announcement. I suggest we wait a few more days (end of the week is OK for me or any other date you and Ede agree with). 4 - Default release. My personnal choice would be to promote CORE edition : more reliable, faster startup time, simple learning curve, no native code, no licence issue... But I understand reasons in favour of the PLUS edition and let you the final choice. My wish is that we focus on a plugin manager for 1.6 so that users can download CORE edition and customize it in an easy way. My 2 cents Michaël > > thanks for your notes. > > - I posted once/twice to slashgeo.org ... so maybe there we can put > another note with the highlights of 1.5 (without the last 1) - though > maybe Michael or I can do that. > - good then I am gonna change to feature the plus edition.
