I tried it a few days ago and I thought that it did not work but saved a new table always with the default SRID. But now when I tried it again I am getting the desired SRID into the database. The functionality is OK even it is not so easy to find where to set the SRID. We might also try to give a hint for the users about that changing SRID does not reproject data as somebody could believe.
