Hi Ede, Not sure it still worth the effort. It fixed a problem where xml files where read with the default platform encoding instead of the encoding defined in the xml. Other external plugins that could be affected : osm : Stefan ? gpx : Landon ? Maybe a test with these drivers (not sure we have a working gpx driver) could tell us if we still have something to fix and where.
