Ah. Removing the backup software should fix the problem. We've seen the issue a couple of times and that usually does the trick.

Is 9.1R2.10 the old version you are upgrading from? If so, do a 'request
system software delete-backup'. This could happen if either the .md5
file has incorrect value or the MD5 calculation of the JUNOS image is
different.


I'm actually just 'side-grading'. The original software was an install that was done from an install-media image of 9.1R2.10. I downloaded a domestic version of 9.1R2.10 the other night because the install-media installed the export version.
