My statement was to advise him of the feature to help resolve his issue. The adjustment will scale back mss sizing the TCP negotiation so that it will fit down the smaller mtu path.
Doesn't fully fix the issue, but is a workaround. Also beware mixing up JUNOS protocol bgp mss adustment, which are only for the routers bgp tcp sessions with general MSS rewrite. The general mss rewrite affects all tcp syns crossing the box. http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/junos/junos92/swconfig-system-basics/configuringtcp-mss-for-session-negotiation.html bgp session MSS knob has been around for a long time. Not sure which platforms general tcp mss adjustment is available on. Think is might be J-Series only or maybe on non J-series with extra hardware to do MSS change (ASP/MS-DPC etc etc). _______________________________________________ juniper-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/juniper-nsp
