EX4600 runs Enhanced Layer 2 Software (ELS), so it's correct to use "irb.n" vs. "vlan.n" I assume Deloin's config was hand-typed because it should be "l3-interface" rather than "l3.interface". As someone else pointed out, if the link is point-to-point, only .4 and .5 will be reachable. xe-0/0/1 is the 2nd (bottom left) interface. We need some more "show" outputs and/or a complete config to figure out what's going on.
