Data Carpentry is organizing a 3-day hands-on hackathon aimed at developing, and later teaching, a short-course curriculum on using Jupyter notebooks for reproducible research practices. Full details are provided in the *Call for Participation: https://git.io/vXAaa <https://git.io/vXAaa>*. Making science more reproducible has enormous potential to accelerate research advances, including (and especially) for practicing individuals.
The event will be held *January 9 - 11, 2016* at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS) <http://bids.berkeley.edu/> in Berkeley, CA. Data Carpentry aims to assemble a diverse and interdisciplinary group of participants, and invites individuals and interested groups to *apply by December 5, 2016, at https://goo.gl/aPO71f <https://goo.gl/aPO71f>.* For more information, please see the *full Call for Participation on GitHub here: https://git.io/vXAaa <https://git.io/vXAaa>* -- Jamie Whitacre Jupyter Technical Project Manager Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS) jupyter.org | bids.berkeley.edu -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Jupyter" group.
