Good idea. I assume someone has mentioned Scala already as well.

I suspect you need Xavier Clerc's feedback as I am not directly related to any 
of this. I shall e-mail him...

On a tenuously related note: the project of implementing a concurrent run-time 
for OCaml was recently awarded funding by Jane St. Capital (one of OCaml's 
largest industrial backers).
