Web-start.
I have a version of a Java web start JXplorer (you can play with a demo
at http://ldap.ccguk.com - but please note this is a domestic ADSL link
and hence is not fast or reliable). The web-start technology comes from
Ericsson in Hungary and was kindly shared with me by Tamas Palagyi

I have modified JXplorer a little to meet specific needs, but you should
be able to point my web-start example at your own LDAP server for a
quick test drive.
I guess that the source should come from Tamas - but if it turns out I
now have the only derivation of this please let me know.

Some folks have got a webstart version of JXplorer going; it seems
to require fairly wide ranging changes to the code... we did get a
donation of the relevant code at one stage but alas it was lost with
a hard disk failure :-(. (If anyone can reproduce this, I'd be happy
to incorporate it - but ideally with minimal code changes!)
