Where is Claws' cache folder on your hard drive? Open the folder up and view the files. Are they encrypted? Do they contain the entire body of all your emails? Just the metadata? Are the files permanently stored on your hard drive?
Can you manually delete the folder? Then send a test email with a sentence in the body. Copy and attach here.
