K9 Mail, updated 6/30/14

When performing a keyword search using Gmail, the results returned are
incomplete, specifically certain emails that are locally synced and stored.
This is only true when the keyword searched is the sender's first name.
When the keyword searched is the last name or subject, the results
returned include the email. For example, if the very first email in my
inbox is an email from "John Smith", and I do a keyword search for "John",
that email will not show up in the search results. However, if I click on
search for server, then other John Smith emails will show up, but the most
recent email still will not show up.

The S5 stock email client and other email clients do not have this issue
when performing the same search, and will return complete search results.

Anyone else have this issue?
